As a member of Sketchbook Skool, I joined a new group that posts a new destination every week, and you get to travel there virtually and choose your sightseeing sketching from the comfort of your device 🙂 This is my first week joining in, and the destination is Jerusalem! What an amazing place, steeped in so much history, and with incredible architecture.
It was difficult to choose a place to visit, but I eventually chose the Church of the Nativity, as I loved the scale of it, and the beauty of its old walls. By all accounts, this is the site of the stable where Jesus was born, and over time it was built up.
I tried to keep the lines loose and the watercolour to a limited palette, and was overall happy with the result.
